Wenas Herman (43) plans to break the Guinness World Records as the fastest man around the world by walk. The plan he will start the hike on May 30, 2011. Bali is a starting point and the end of his journey. He is scheduled to return to Bali in 2015.
“From Bali I’m going to Dili. And then to Australia, New Zealand, North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia. The beginning of 2015 is expected to arrive in Indonesia through Sumatra,” said Herman Wenas in Sapta Pesona Building, Jakarta. Herman will travel as far as 30,000 km through 25 countries in the world. Previously, in 2007 he succeeded as far as 1,000 km journey on foot for 33 days. For its success, he recorded in the MURI.
“Since 2003 I have prepared myself for a walk around the world. In total since 2004 until 2010 I was taking 8,000 km,” he said. Herman said the trip was not just to break the record, but also to promote Indonesian tourism. Travel Herman was supported Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“Along the way, I will provide information about Indonesia tourism.We work closely with Indonesian Foreign Ministry to hold a Night in several cities that I went to , ” he said.
