Bali villas of high-end category are springing up in Nusa Dua area. They are the sure sign that the place is indeed becoming a destination for tourists, a worthy alternative for Kuta, Legian dan Seminyak. However, it has to be noted that this area is indeed designed to be a high-end destination. So, one should not expect of youth liveliness here. Instead, the area is more like a cell for retreat due to its environment and management. Nusa Dua is actually two smaller islands south of the mainland. They are separated by a narrow strip of sea from the mainland.
So narrow is the strait that one can swim in it to get to the islands. However, the most remarkable feature of the area is probably its quiet, white sand beach. Geger Beach indeed offers much quieter atmosphere than Kuta and other beaches to the north. Nightlife is, if any, rare. But travelers with privacy and luxury in mind, and in turn total relaxation, will find the area pleasant. No wonder that even the government of Indonesia holds most of its regional and international events here, such as the ASEAN conference in 2011. Thus, in terms of place to say, there are only high-end places here.
There are actually a number of luxury places in the area, but let us consider some of them. The first to mention is Kayumanis Nusa Dua Private Villa and Spa. Located inside BTDC, which this villas complex is consisted of 20 contemporary villas. Each of these villas come with private pool, 24-hour butler service and modern kitchen. Services are of the top class here, with puck up service to the international airport, which can be useful as the transportation into the area is rather difficult. The private pools are wide enough for daily swimming practice.
But at Laguna, guests will have straight access to the beautiful white sandy beach. The atmosphere is also highly artificial but effective, with the lush gardens designed as totally tropical in appearance. The swimming lagoons are spacious. Combined with butler service and spa facility, this can be ideal for relaxation. Another name worth mentioning is Melia Bali. It comes with superb spa facilities, fitness center, table tennis, jogging track, Balinese cabaret shows, vast swimming lagoon and scores of possible watersports. While the rooms are designed as a hotel, the property also offers private villas, each with its own swimming pool.
Other names are the household names for elegant travelers, ranging from Nikko Bali Resort, Novotel Nusa Dua, Nusa Dua Beach Hotel, and Ocean Blue Hotel. All of these properties are of course, as you probably had known, the big names with five-stars facilities and services. Each of them has its own specialty. For example, Novotel Nusa Dua is situated in the middle of excellent golf course, while Nikko Bali Resort has its own private beach to ensure privacy for guests who want to enjoy the white sand. Nusa Dua Beach Hotel, meanwhile, is probably the most ideal place for family vacation as it features the kids club. For wedding couples, Ocean Blue Hotel bali has an excellent venue for the romantic occasion.
